Description
Besides keeping your stamping smear free, Water Tight, the new water based topcoat from Hit the Bottle, has many uses!
- It keeps the metallic shine alive in foils with no crinkling.
- Helps holo polishes be their best with no loss of holo flame.
- Useful over pigments and powders.
It does have a very thin consistency which is strange at first. Like water, or milk, since it's a milky white color! But once you get the hang of this and to not load the brush up too much, (we pretty much wipe all the excess topcoat off the brush and use what's left in the bristles) it applies easily and dries relatively quickly.
We've found this is adequate as a topcoat by itself, it has a nice shine. But if you wish you can add your regular topcoat over it.
Note: Testers found that Water Tight did not play well when "Keepin it Peel" was used as a base coat, then a regular (solvent based) polish and then the water based topcoat over it. This is because solvent based polishes take up to 24 hours to be completely dry and they can't dry properly when they are between two layers of water based polish (which is somewhat like plastic). Testers reported that the topcoat peeled off after about 24 hours. (We haven't been able to replicate this.)
